COLOR COVE ART SOCIETY
MEET THE TEAM
Katherine Mao
I'm Katherine, a founder of Color Cove Art Society. As someone who is personally very passionate about art, I’ve always wished to create a safe space for diligent, artistic individuals. Starting such an organization is truly such a thrilling opportunity for me, and even though there have been bumps in the road (2 whole years of planning and scrapping!), I could not be more glad we took the chance and launched this site. I hope this platform can inspire artists and help them achieve the best versions of themselves through thoughtful discussion, meaningful feedback, and advice from a wide variety of artists just like them.

Thank you so much in placing your trust in us! We will strive to improve this platform as best we can so that this can hopefully become the a go-to spot for student artists all around.

Shivani K
Hi, I'm Shivani and I'm a founder of Color Cove Art Society. I'm so glad you decided to visit and I hope you enjoy exploring through the pages. As someone who manages a school newspaper, I believe in the importance in sharing one's voice, so through this website, we hope to be able to provide a fun and unique opportunity for artists to share their experiences, ideas and thoughts as they develop a deeper understanding with each other. Art is something I love and I'm looking forward to creating more with all of you.
Building this organization has been exciting and I'm thankful you decided to stop by! Keep creating!

JOIN OUR
TEAM
If you would like to join us on our mission, please fill out the application! We really appreciate your support.
Journalist: Do you have any opinion that you want to share? Do you want to share a cool art tip? Would you like to interview an artist? Then you'd be a perfect candidate for reporter! You'll be in charge of writing articles!

Talent Scout: If you have connections with other artists or writers, this is the job for you. You would be in charge of reaching out to friends and artists and inviting them to join our club and consider becoming a reporter! Basically, you're in charge of advertising our club. (Spread the word!)

Copy Editor: If you don't have much time, but still want to contribute, you should become a Copy Editor. You will be in charge of reading articles and checking for grammatical issues, spelling mistakes and factual inconsistencies. Basically, you will be in charge of making sure our articles are perfect!

ARTIST: You can submit art for the website. We encourage artists to apply for another staff position as well since we have a limited amount of art we can feature per month (you can apply for as many roles as you want).

Please note that we place heavy trust in each of our team members. Intentionally breaking the trust and/or projecting immoral values can result in immediate dismissal from the team.

We will have leadership and management roles coming soon! If you are interested, consider joining as one of the roles and you will have the chance to get a promotion!
ARTIST ARTICLE FEATURE INTEREST FORM
If you are interested in being an artist featured in one of our articles (whether you're sharing your opinion, your story, or tips), we invite you to fill out a quick application!
Opinion: If you have a particularly strong stance on a topic (found on our Instagram, rotated every week), a member from our team will reach out to you and ask you a series of questions relating to it! Feel free to be bold, and if you haven't seen a topic you're passionate about, DM us!

Interview: It is critical here that you share art pieces BEFORE we interview you! This is because we will be focusing in on some unique skills you have and revolve our questions around them! If you have a story/experience to tell, this is for you.

Tips: Another one where you must share your art pieces! We will reach out to you to ask you about specific tips that you might have for some areas you excel at. You may also clarify ahead of time what those areas are, especially the ones you have lots to say on. As you might've guessed, this is for people who have expertise in a particular technique/area.
Unlike journalists' personal articles, the opinions and tips you give will have a special label ("Artist's Perspective") on them!
